LUCILE LAFRENIERE (nee PARADIS) Suddenly on Tuesday, October 19, 2000, at the Swift Current Hospital, Mrs. Lucile Lafreniere, beloved wife of Bertrand Lafreniere of St. Boniface passed away at the age of 72 years. Lucile was born in Dunrea, Man. on March 22, 1928. She was predeceased by her parents, Rose and Felix and one brother Leonard. Besides her husband Bertrand, she leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Gisele Shawcross and husband Hugh; one son Guy Lafreniere and wife Mari; four grandchildren, Matthew and Michael Lafreniere, Geoff and Kevin Shawcross. Lucile also leaves six brothers and two sisters: Alphonse (Monique), Celine Pauwels, Janine (Marcel) Landry, Norman (Irene), Rene (Eva), Jean (Irene), Gabriel (Sharon) and Lionel; one sister-in-law Albina Paradis. Prayers will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 24 in the St. Vital Roman Catholic Church, 1629 Pembina Highway, followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. with Father Patrick Morand presiding. Service will terminate at the church. Interment of cremated remains will take place at a later date at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg R3B 2H8.
