MICHAEL RYAN KREVIAZUK November 21, 2000 After a brief illness, Krevi passed away with his beloved family at his side, at the Health Sciences Centre. Michael was predeceased by his grandma Grace Nore and his grandpa Mike Kreviazuk. He is survived, and will be missed, by many loving friends, cousins, aunts and uncles, but most especially, his brother David, mother Marilyn, father Brian and grandmother Isobel. Mike, like his mom, was born in Nipigon, Ont., on August 21, 1975, and received his education in the Red Lake area of Northwestern Ontario. He grew up a typical young boy participating in hockey and baseball, but what he loved most was the water. He was a member of the Campbell Goldfins Swim Team while attending the Red Lake High School and enjoyed the travel and camaraderie of participating with the team. He was also an accredited lifeguard and tried his hand at scuba diving. Michael moved to Winnipeg in 1995 to continue his adult life and further his education. Mike was always an incessant reader, and he had a great passion for books, learning, computers and people. You could always pick Mike out by his thick black hair, huge brown eyes and his infectious laugh. Service to be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 25, at the Glen Eden Funeral Home, with a reception to follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. A special thanks must go out to the staff, nurses and doctors at the M.I.C.U. at the H.S.C. who we know tried their best to help Michael. With this thought, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mikes memory to the Medical I.C.U. Trust Fund in care of H.S.C., GH 735 180 Sherbrook St., R3A 1R9, or through the Glen Eden Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN EDEN FUNERAL HOME 4477 MAIN STREET 338-7111

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • I have a memory of Mike when he was about 3 or 4 years of age, and being the first nephew on my side of my family, and I will always see him as that bright shiny kid with a sparkle in his eye. Loved by us all forever. - Posted by: Howard Nore (Uncle) on: Jan 24, 2021

  • Mike popped into my head randomly. Googled and found this. Absolutely sad to find out he's gone. What a kind, charming and totally lovable guy. I remember Charleston chews in the freezer. Playing magic at the library. Long walks to nowhere. Miss you Mike. - Posted by: Julie () on: Nov 17, 2014
