RALPH H. FAURSCHOU Peacefully with his wife Ella at his side on Sunday, December 3, 2000 at the Portage District General Hospital, Ralph Faurschou, late of the Burnside district, passed away at the age of 78 years. He was predeceased by his father Jens in 1971; his mother Janet in 1988 and his brother-in-law Grenville Smith in 1983. Ralph will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by is wife Ella of 46 years; his four sons, David (Lori), Dale (Karen), Kenneth (Karen) and Glenn (Deneen) and his eight grandchildren, Aaron, Jenna Lee and Katelyn; Michael; Devin and Draedyn; and Amanda and Darryl all of Portage and district; his sisters, Joyce (Roy) Lyall of Edwin, Helen Smith of Portage and Audrey Faurschou of Winnipeg; his brother Gerald (Pat) of Burnside; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral Service to celebrate Ralphs life will be held Thursday, December 7 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary la Prairie Anglican Church and in the Parish Hall (2nd Street SW, Portage la Prairie). As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made to a charity of your own personal choice which is consistent with Ralphs practice of supporting a variety of charities. A tree will be planted and cared for in memory of Ralph at Evergreen Memorial Gardens by McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel who are entrusted with the arrangements.
