HILDA GEGLAWA After a lengthy battle with cancer, Hilda Geglawa passed away peacefully on December 6, 2000 at the Riverview Health Centre with her family by her side. Hilda had come to Canada in 1983 with her two children Robert and Iwona to unite with her husband and dad here in Winnipeg, MB. Mom struggled to make the best out of everything, that sometimes became overwhelming. As mom became ill, she took on the responsibility of babysitting her grandchildren and passing on strong family values, at the same time mom was a great help to her daughter. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to everybody. She was divorced, but was still able to keep a good relationship with her husband Zozislaw Geglawa, this would make things easier during holidays and birthdays. They still cared for each other, especially their family relationship. There was a special friend in her life, his name is Guy, and when she suffered he would always be there to lend a hand. She will be gratefully missed by the whole family, friends and especially by her daughter Iwona and son Robert. Prayers will be held on December 10, at 7:00 p.m. at Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Avenue. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Ghost Parish, 341 Selkirk Ave., on Monday, December 11 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery.
