Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRANCES FEDORCHUK (nee TARASCHUK) Peacefully on Saturday, December 9, 2000, Frances Fedorchuk passed away at the Victoria Hospital at the age of 85 years. Frances will be lovingly remembered by her husband John; her son Larry (Phyllis) grandchildren, Jennifer Hanslip (Scott), Jeff Fedorchuk (Yvette), Kathleen Fedorchuk (Blaine), and Andrea Stefanec (Rob) and great-grandson Robbie Jr. She also leaves to mourn her passing her sister, Mary Chimuk, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Frances was predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Anna Taraschuk; brothers, John, Andy, Mike and Peter; her oldest son, Johnny in 1960, and her youngest son, Thomas, in 1998. Frances was born on March 1, 1915 in Sky Lake, Man. She married John, her life-long partner, in Sioux Lookout, Ont., on May 27, 1939. After raising three sons, Frances returned to work in 1959 and enjoyed an 18 year career as a seamstress with Stall & Sons Sewing Factory. Her interests included sewing, cooking, spoiling her grandchildren, and socializing with friends at Eatons Downtown. The family would like to thank Home Care for their support over the last few years and the staff at the Victoria Hospital for their care during Frances stay in the hospital. Prayers will be said on Thursday evening, December 14 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., at Luxton Avenue. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 15 at 11:00 a.m., also at the Chapel, with Fr. Isidore Dziadyk, O.S.B.M. officiating. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandson Jeff Fedorchuk, grandsons-in-law Rob Stefanec and Scott Hanslip and nephews Henry, Ron and Richard Taraschuk. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. Cropo Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements, 586-8044.
