Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTELLA FENIUK 1917 - 2000 Peacefully on December 26, 2000 at the Vita District Hospital, Stella Feniuk was called to eternal rest at the age of 83 years. Stella was born in Tolstoi on March 5, 1917 to Kashmir and Tetiana Sniezek. In 1917, a few months before Stella was born, Kashmir passed away. In 1919 Tetiana met and married Michael Dykun of Tolstoi where they farmed. This is where Stella grew up. Stella married Nick Maley on June 26, 1937. They farmed at Gardenton, MB. Nick passed away in 1964. In 1980 Stella married William Feniuk and moved to his farm in Roseau River, MB. William passed away in 1986 leaving Stella a widow for the second time. There were no children born in either marriages. Stella was a generous person in many ways. She loved the farm life, gardening, baking and entertaining friends. In the last few years her health was failing and she was unable to do too much. She is survived by three brothers, John (Rose) Dykun of Sacramento, California and nieces, Marilyn, Diane (Raymond) and their family; Peter (Sophie) Dykun of Gardenton and nephews, Orest (Beatrice), Larry (Cindy) and their family, niece Jeanette Kowalenko and her family; Maurice (Phyllis) Dykun of Coldwater, Ont., and nephews, Mark (Josee), Myles (Susan) and their family; two sisters, Nancy (Nestor) Bially of Overstoneville and nephews, Jarvis (Vicki), Don (Audrey) and their family; Olga Hawryshko of Winnipeg and niece Diane (Laurie) nephew Don and his family of Selkirk; one step sister Evelyn (Ted) Dzinkowski who predeceased her on February 4, 2000. Evelyn has one daughter Deloreen (Richard) Metzak and her family who live in Brampton, Ont. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, December 30, 10:30 a.m. at the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church in Stuartburn with Rev. Father Ihor Royik officiating. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Loewen Funeral Chapel of Steinbach, 204-326-1351.
