DON STEWART Peacefully with his family by his side Don Stewart passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital on December 28, 2000 at the age of 82. He was predeceased by his wife Doreen in 1989; two brothers, Jack and Mac Stewart. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, son Rob and daughter Lorna (Jason) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Don was born in Winnipeg on October 21, 1918 the middle of three children. He was a pilot with the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War. Following the war he met and married his wife Doreen and they were together 39 years until her passing in 1989. Dad worked with M.T.S. and retired in 1979 after 35 years of service. Don loved to travel and he took numerous trips to Europe as well as his favorite destination Hawaii. Dad loved animals and sports and especially enjoyed Hockey and Curling. The family would like to thank the staff of the M.I.C.U at St. Boniface Hospital. They would also like to thank Dr. Wollner for his care over the years. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave. Following a reception for family and friends will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Road, Winnipeg MB, R2L 1X3. Arrangement entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
