Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFLORENCE JANET RILEY (nee WALKER) 1911 - 2001 Florence Janet Riley died peacefully on January 11, at Bastion Place, Salmon Arm, B.C. Janet was born in Winnipeg and subsequently lived in Kelowna, North Vancouver, Sechelt and Salmon Arm. She was predeceased by her husband Don in 1979. She leaves to mourn her death and celebrate her life her daughter Martha (Bob) Scales; her son Doug (Barb) Riley; grandchildren, Susan, Gord, Chris, Jennifer, Jim, Ryan, Cory, Casey; six great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and her sister-in-law Mary Walker. Jay will always be remembered for her generous and gracious spirit, her deep love for her children and grandchildren, and for her family and friends, and especially for her beloved husband, Don, with whom she spent many wonderful years. Janets life will be celebrated at a small family gathering, led by Will Sparks of First United Church, Salmon Arm. The family gratefully acknowledges the compassionate care given to Janet by staff and volunteers at Pioneer Lodge, Special Care Unit, and Extended Care at Bastion. In memory of Janet, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. If desired, expressions of sympathy may be sent to sympathy@bowersfuneralservice.com. Arrangements are in care of Bowers Funeral Home and Crematorium, Salmon Arm.
