KENNY LACHTER With deep sorrow, the family of the late Kenny Lachter of Vancouver announces his sudden, untimely death on February 18, 2001. He was 57. Born and raised in Winnipeg, he was predeceased by his father Mickey in 1993. He is survived by his mother Betty, of Vancouver; two brothers, Sid (Sandra) of Scottsdale, AZ, and Shale of Vancouver; two nephews, Marty of Albany, NY, and Hartley of Riverdale, NY; a niece and great-niece, Allison (Michael) and Rachel Richter of Tucson, AZ; and many cousins and other relatives. Funeral services and interment took place in Vancouver on February 23. Pallbearers were Sid, Shale, Marty and Hartley Lachter, Oscar Nerman of Vancouver and Eddy Cowan of Winnipeg. Donations in Kennys memory may be made to any charity or to Bettys home, the Louis Brier Home and Hospital, 1055 W. 41st Avenue, Vancouver, BC V6M 1W9.
