DOROTHY M. PRESCOTT Peacefully on March 5, 2001 Dorothy M. Prescott passed away at Fred Douglas Lodge. Dorothy will be sadly missed by her extended family inCanada and in England and by many special friends. Dorothy was predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Leila. Dorothy was a school teacher for over 25 years in Winnipeg School Division No. 1. She retired in 1973 and traveled the world visiting England and China. She was a life member of the Womens Temperance Christian Union (WCTU), and Gordon-King Memorial United Church. Dorothy liked spending holidays with her cousin Catherine Gadd and family in Foxwarren. She loved to read and listen to music. She volunteered for years at Fred Douglas Lodge every Saturday morning. Dorothy was a kind, generous and lovable lady who will be missed by all who knew her. Dorothys family would like to express their appreciation to all the staff at Fred Douglas Lodge, to Bob and Marge, and especially her close friends, Dorene, Mary, Pat for their compassionate care over the years. Donations may be made in Dorothys memory to Gordon-King Memorial United Church or Fred Douglas Lodge. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 15 at 2:00 p.m. at Gordon-King Memorial United Church, 127 Cobourg Ave. Interment in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
