ANTONIA (TEENIE) CHLEBOROB On Tuesday, March 20, 2001, at the Rest Haven Nursing Home in Steinbach, Mrs. Antonia (Teenie) Chleborob of Steinbach passed away at the age of 88 years. She leaves to cherish her memory one sister Florence (Frank) Cardamone of Winnipeg and one brother William (Iris) Wachna of Ridgeville; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Andrew in 1980, three brothers and seven sisters. She was born on March 13, 1913, in Stuartburn, Man., to Metro and Anne Wachna. In 1942 she was married to Andrew Chleborob. She was a kind, hardworking person and was an avid gardener. Though she never had a family of her own, her nieces and nephews were very special to her, and she always remembered them at Christmas, Easter and birthdays. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 24 at 11:00 a.m. at Loewen Funeral Chapel in Steinbach with Rev. Father Myron Pozniak officiating. Interment will follow in the Beausejour (Greek Orthodox) Cemetery. Viewing will be held at the chapel prior to the service. Special thanks to Dr. Dennis Giesbrecht and nursing staff of the Rest Haven Nursing Home for their care and kindness in comforting Teenie during the eight years that she lived there.
