BERTHE GARAND Peacefully on Wednesday, May 2, 2001, at Foyer Valade, Mlle Berthe Garand passed away at the age of 91 years. Berthe was predeceased by her parents, Alex and Virginie; brothers and sisters. She leaves to cherish one sister Gabrielle St. Mars, sister-in-law Jeanne Garand, and nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their thanks to all the staff at Foyer Valade (2nd floor). A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 5 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (across from the Royal Canadian Mint). The interment will follow in the Garden of Christ the Redeemer, Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. The Desjardins Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements, 233-4949; toll free 1-888-233-4949.
