MARIA KRAHN (nee THIESSEN) 1916 - 2001 Passed away peacefully Friday, July 20, 2001 at Misericordia Health Centre with family at her side. She will be loving remembered by her children, Jacob (Maria) Krahn of Paraguay, Justina Krahn of Winnipeg, Abram (Mika) Krahn of Paraguay, Peter (Trudy) Krahn of Niverville, Helena (Abram) Toews of Paraguay, Martin (Anna) Krahn of Paraguay, Ed (Hilda) Krahn of Niverville, Mary Giesbrecht of Steinbach, Anne Krahn (Martin Lewadny) of Winnipeg; 34 grandchildren, and 57 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Abram in 1980, two sons and one daughter. Mother will always be remembered for her sense of humour and love for her family. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 24 at 10:00 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach. Viewing will be held Monday, July 23, 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel and prior to the service. A gathering of family and friends will take place in the Birchwood Reception Centre after the service. Burial to follow at Niverville Cemetery.
