LORNA MARSH 1929 - 2001 Peacefully, with her family at her side, Lorna Rowena Marsh passed away July 23, 2001 at age 72 years, at the Grace General Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband Frank (Snooker) Marsh; and her parents, Dick and Pearl Hector. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Mel (Joy) and granddaughters, Ashleigh and Alexis; her daughter Margaret (Megs) and Graham Barratt; sisters, Muriel (Harold) Wainwright, Allene (Ted) Douglas, Earla (Clayton) Blackwell; sisters-in-law, Marj Marsh and Pearl Shirtliff. Lorna was born and raised in Wawanesa, MB. She married Dad October 8, 1949 and they lived in Wawanesa, Brandon, Winnipeg, Moose Jaw, France, Germany, returning to Winnipeg in 1967. Mom worked at the VON office upon returning to Winnipeg until her retirement. Mom cherished their trips to California, Florida and Arizona. She enjoyed curling and golfing but her main focus was her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her loyalty, friendship and love will be greatly missed by all. A Service of Remembrance will be held Friday, July 27 at 11:00 a.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1858 Portage Ave. Special thanks to the staff at 4 West at Grace General Hospital, especially Colleen, Maria and Shawna.
