Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHARLES ROGER JOHNSTON FIRMAN Peacefully on August 7, 2001, at the age of 45, Charlie passed away after a courageous six year battle with cancer. Charlie was born in St. Boniface, MB on June 2, 1956 and for the past seven years worked at the Centennial Concert Hall as a 4th Class Power Engineer. He is survived by his precious daughter Melissa; father Henry; sisters, Roberta Mould (Calgary) and Jeannie Gauthier (Winnipeg) nieces, Laura Reid and Linda Mould; nephew Garnet Gauthier Jr. and numerous relatives. Charlie was predeceased by his mother Jane; grandma Johnston; uncle Jack; aunt Irene and cousin Bob. He will also be sadly missed by numerous close friends who have provided him immense encouragement throughout his illness. Charlie was associated with the East Kildonan Congregation of Jehovahs Witnesses. His hope was to live forever on a paradise earth by means of the resurrection (John 5: verses 28 & 29) and he dedicated his life to teaching others of this hope when mourning, death and pain will be no more (Revelation 21: verses 3 & 4). A service will be held on Saturday, August 11 at 2:00 p.m. at the Gateway Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses, 937 Gateway Rd. Mr. David Joyal will be officiating. Burial to follow at the Pine Ridge Cemetery of Jehovahs Witnesses. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL in care of arrangements, 586-8044.
