JOHN WILLIAM FEDICK On September 29, 2001, John William Fedick of Fisher Branch, passed on at the Seven Oaks Hospital. He was 79 years of age. John was born May 1, 1922 in Fisher Branch. He later joined the Canadian Army July of 1944, where he served in Canada, United Kingdom and Continental Europe, during the Second World War. While in service, he received the Defence Medal and War Medal. He was very proud to be a veteran. He leaves his wife Anne of 54 years; his sons, Harry Fedick, Terry Fedick and daughter Linda Fedick; along with grandchildren and great-grandchildren and friends. He also leaves three sisters, Janet, Natalie and Elsie; along with many nieces and nephews. His brother Paul had predeceased him. Thanks to his many doctors, a special thanks to Dr. Tsang and also special thanks to the nursing staff of U1RM 5B of the Seven Oaks Hospital. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Thursday, October 4 at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Fisher Branch, MB. A Legion Honor Guard will conduct a Poppy Tribute Service. Interment will follow in the Ukrainian Christian Congregation Cemetery, Fisher Branch, MB. Flowers gratefully declined. Dads wish was that those who wished to, could donate to Deer Lodge Hospital, 2109 Portage Ave., Wpg., R3J 0L3. Amazing grace, how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me. I once was lost, but now Im found WAS BLIND BUT NOW I SEE. Dad, Ones life has value, so long as one attributes value to the life of others, by means of love, friendship, indignation, indignity and compassion.
