MARY ELIZABETH FERRIS July 28, 1921- November 11, 2001 Peacefully on Tuesday, November 11, 2001 at the St. Boniface General Hospital, Mary Ferris passed away at the age of 80 years. She was predeceased by her husband Elmer in August 1993 and her brother Patrick in 1996. Mary leaves to treasure her memory her son Bill (Louise), daughter Bonnie (Jim), her granddaughters, Cara, Erin and Colleen; her sister Margaret (Jerry) Warren; sister-in-law Adeline Burns; and many nieces and nephews. Mary was born in Winnipeg in July of 1921. As a young child she moved with her parents Teresa and William Burns, to Austin, MB where she resided until she returned to Winnipeg as a young lady in her late teens. She was employed in various positions until she met and married Elmer in 1946, and had two loving children, Bill and Bonnie. When Mary retired, she and Elmer moved to Lac Du Bonnet, where they enjoyed their lakefront home. They eventually returned to Winnipeg to live for several years. Mary will be sadly missed by her family and her many friends. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Friday, November 16 at 1:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 232 Kennedy St. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Marys memory to a charity of ones choice.
