Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALBERT DELAQUIS On November 26, 2001, at the age of 91 years, Albert Delaquis passed away peacefully at his daughters residence. He is the much loved father of Leo (Viviane), Jocelyne Badiou (Henri), and Claude (Barbara). Albert was predeceased by his cherished wife Antoinette; his brothers, Jean and Paul; and his sisters, Simone and Juliette. He leaves to cherish his memory his sister Fernande Delaquis; and sister-in-law Beatrice Lafreniere. Albert will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Lise Roch (Roger), Natalie Delaquis, Albert Delaquis, Leo Badiou (Brigitte Masson), Lynne Daumler (Raymond), Pascal Badiou (Nicole), Benoit Delaquis, Rachelle Ouellet (Richard). He was a proud great-grandfather to Colin, Emilie and Lexie Roch, Ethan Couper, Bradley and Alexa-Rae Daumler, Anna Badiou, Jade Delaquis, Vincent, Alex and Jaclyn Ouellet. There are also many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends who will miss his presence. Albert was born on February 14, 1910 in Notre Dames de Lourdes, MB. He studied at lecole Provencher and le College Seminaire. He took over his fathers store in Notre Dame, where he spent many happy years working with his wife Antoinette. Albert was a well respected member of his community. He served as a member of the Knights of Columbus and was awarded a Supreme Council Certificate as Grand Knight for his leadership. In 1975, Albert and Antoinette moved to Lorette and he worked as a real estate agent. Later they moved to Saint-Boniface where they spent many happy years. In 1998, family and friends surrounded the couple to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary. All of those who knew Albert, will fondly recall his presence at the dinner table. Pepere was well known for his ability to tell a good story and well loved for his ability to give sound advice. He was kindhearted, soft spoken, honest and generous, in short, the epitome of a man who makes a great father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His life is a testament to his faith in and love of God. The family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff on 5A and 5E at the Saint-Boniface Hospital for the excellent care. Heartfelt appreciation goes out to Ted (night R.N.), your gentle care of Dad meant much to him as it did to us. Dearest Dad, we will truly miss you Thank you so much for all the wonderful memories May God care for you as you did for us. Again thank you. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Thursday, November 29 at 10:30 a.m. in the Precieux-Sang Church, 200 Kenny Ave. with labbe Marcel Chaput, Mgr Noel Delaquis, Albert Lafreniere o.m.i., concelebrants.
