Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELSIE LORRAINE PATTESON Peacefully, on Saturday, November 24, 2001, Lorraine Patteson, aged 80 years, passed away at Grace Hospital. Predeceased by her husband Wes in 1974, Lorraine is survived by her sister Leone of Vancouver; brothers, Stan (Ann) of Toronto and Brian (Barbara) of Winnipeg; as well as nieces, Shelley and Elizabeth; and nephews, Bill, David, Michael and Jeffrey; as well as great-nieces and great-nephews. Lorraine was born in Winnipeg April 21, 1920, and graduated from the Manitoba Normal School in 1940. She began her teaching career in Middlechurch and continued teaching in Halifax, Regina, Ottawa, and finally in Toronto where she taught in Scarborough schools for 23 years, retiring in 1974. Upon returning to Winnipeg following her retirement, Lorraine was active in the Assiniboine Golf Club, returning to a sport she had excelled in many years before as a top amateur player. Later, she joined various bridge clubs in the city and was very active for a number of years. She was predeceased by her father Stan in 1985 and her mother Elsie in 1993, whom she had tirelessly looked after for a number of years. Lorraine was a devoted family person and enjoyed her family including her six nieces and nephews, Bill, Shelley, David, Elizabeth, Michael, and Jeffrey; and eight great-nieces and great-nephews, Kristin, Shaun, Megan, Michael, Brodie, Breanna, Jessica, and Shane. The family wishes to thank Mary and Joan for their care and support in recent years, as well as the nurses and staff on the 3rd floor of Grace Hospital during her recent illness. Cremation has taken place, and a private family interment will take place in St. Vital Cemetery. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
