JOHN (JACK) WILDE Peacefully, on December 2, 2001 John Wilde passed away at Concordia Hospital at the age of 93 years. He is predeceased by his loving wife Doreen Wilde; his parents; and his brother Clifford. He leaves to cherish his memory his son William Wilde; daughter-in-law Edie; grandchildren, William and James whom he cherished; and sister Irene Wilson (Barry) of Chatham, Ontario. Jack was born in Rochdale, England and immigrated to Canada after the First World War with his parents and younger brother Clifford. The family settled in Mimico, Ontario. In 1950 Jack moved to Winnipeg with his wife to manage General Bakeries. He retired from McGavins Bakery in 1973. After retirement he built and ran the Winnipeg branch of Release Coatings for five years. Funeral service will be held Thursday, December 6 at 10:30 a.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Highway. Interment to follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Viewing prior to the service. The family wishes to thank the wonderful Home Care workers who made it possible for Jack to live in his own home and to Concordia Hospital staff for the comfort and care during Jacks brief illness.
