Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN R. SUDDABY It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Johne Roswell Suddaby, on Friday, December 7, 2001, at the age of 77 years. John has been there always, for us all. He will be deeply missed by his wif, Ruth; children, Jeff, Bev, Phil, and Ken; children-in-law, Wendy, Doug, and Ginette; grandchildren, Brianna, Stephen, Andrew, Amelia, Paul, and Vincent; sister Violet and brother Donovan; sister-in-law Lora; other extended family; and friends and neighbours. John was born on October 26, 1924, and grew up on a farm near Birtle, MB. He volunteered for overseas service in the Second World War with the Canadian Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment, RCA. When he returned, he met his future wife, Mary Ruth Hadath. They were married in 1950, and their love endured through 51 years of marriage. His wife will miss his constant love and companionship, more than words could ever say. After the War, John attended the U of M, then started out as a lab technologist at HSC. He participated actively both with the CSLT, and in developing lab technology training programs at RRCC. He retired from a senior administrative position in Pathology at HSC in 1990. John served with the Canadian Militia, 10th Independent Signals Squadron, for many years. In 1969 he retired as Commanding Officer, with the rank of Major. Throughout his life, John remained steadfast in his love and dedication to his wife, children, and extended family. He was adored by his grandchildren, and he also warmed the hearts of the many other children he met in his travels through life. John will be deeply missed, and lovingly remembered. We take comfort in knowing that he will live on in the hearts and minds of all who knew him. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m..
