Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELVERA DOERKSEN Elvera Doerksen passed away on Monday, December 17, 2001, at the age of 92 years. Elvera was born July 20, 1909 on the estate (kutor) Davlekanova, Ufa, Russia, the youngest of five children born to Peter and Katharina Doerksen (nee Klassen). She was predeceased by her parents and her four siblings. Elvera is survived by nephews and nieces and their families who live out of province. To mourn her passing is a dear lifelong friend since 1910, Lydia Fast, of Winnipeg; a cousin Selma (Frank) Friesen of Winnipeg; and numerous others whose lives were touched by hers. Our gratitude to Dr. R. Martens and the very caring staff in the 600 wing of Bethania Mennonite Personal Care Home. The funeral will take place at First Mennonite Church, Notre Dame and Alverstone on Thursday, December 20, at 10:30 a.m. with visitation one-half hour prior to the service. Reverend Franz Wiebe will officiate. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Bethania Mennonite Personal Care Home, 1045 Concordia Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R2K 3S7.
