KATHLEEN (KAY) VOWELL (nee RUSSELL) Peacefully on December 20, 2001 at the age of 86 years, Kay passed away at the Beacon Hill Lodge, Winnipeg. Kay was predeceased by her husband Sid on February 11, 1989 and by her eldest son Robert on September 9, 2001. Kay is survived by her son David and wife Sophia of Calgary, AB; daughter Audrey and husband Tom Welch of Winnipeg. Kay is also survived by grandchildren, Kathy (Phil), Shawn (Patsy), Colin (Janine), Cory, Alyson and Erin. Kay will also be missed by Ollie, Jody and Tammy of Winnipeg and Ardith Vowell of Vancouver, BC. Kay was born November 11, 1915 and raised in Winnipeg. She was employed by Eatons and later with Reliance Plastic. In 1979 when Sid retired, they spent their time in the cottage country around Lac du Bonnet. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, December 28 in the Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway, with interment at Lettonia Cemetery, Lac du Bonnet.
