Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEILEEN LYLIE DUNCAN On December 16, 2001, our mother left us peacefully at Ridge Meadows Hospital following a short illness. Eileen was predeceased by her husband Leonard Arthur (Duncan). She is survived by her children, Dennis (Beverley) and grandson Aaron of Winnipeg, Brian (Cindy), granddaughter Candice and grandson Dylan of Mission and Karen Olsen (Dallas) of Prince George; and cousin Jean Cross of Winnipeg. She also will be greatly missed by her companion Gordon Bailey. Eileen served in the Canadian Womens Army Corp during the Second World War and spent much of the war in England, returning in 1945. She has remained active with the Ex-servicewomens Association and the Legion, attending annual reunions until recently. Eileen was born in Portage la Prairie, MB in 1920 and grew up in North Vancouver and continued to live there until moving to Winnipeg in 1962 where she lived until returning to Vancouver in 1972 and eventually settling in Pitt Meadows. Eileen will be missed by her family, relatives and her many friends. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Ridge Meadows Hospital (2 West) for their caring, kindness and compassion. A memorial service was held on Tuesday, December 18 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Columbia Anglican Church, 12109 Harris Rd. in Pitt Meadows. BURKEVIEW FAMILY FUNERAL CARE
