JAMES A. SIPLEY At home, with quiet dignity, as he lived his life, on December 31, 2001, after a lengthy illness at age 69. Beloved husband of Kay Foster and the late June Sipley; devoted father of Paul (Monika) of Toronto and Sydney Lennie (Bruce) of Ottawa; step-Dad to Jill Graves (Mike) and Lee Pichette (George) of Ottawa; dear Grandpa of Kristina, Andrew, Melissa and his expected grandchild; dear Grandpa-Jim of Emily, Evan and Gregg. Lovingly remembered by sister Joyce Nelson (George) of Winnipeg; brother Mel (Joan) of Lac du Bonnet, MB; lovingly remembered brother-in-law of Harry and Ethel Belfry of Winnipeg and their family. Jims career with Imperial Oil Ltd. spanned 38 years during which time he made numerous life-long friends across Canada. Always a gentleman, Jims thoughtfulness toward others, his witty sense of humour, and the sparkle in his eye will be warmly remembered by all. The family expresses sincere gratitude to Dr. Margaret Farncombe and her nursing staff (Caroline & Eileen) of the Palliative Care Outreach Program. A memorial service in celebration of Jims life was held on Thursday, January 3, 11:00 a.m. at Christ Church Anglican, Bells Corners, 3861 Richmond Rd., Ottawa K2H 5C1. In memory of Jim a memorial donations may be made to Christ Church Anglican Building Fund (as above) or the Palliative Care Outreach Program, 1455 Woodroffe Ave. S., Nepean, ON, K2G 1W1.
