SISTER ANESIE COTE (SISTER ST-RAYMOND) On January 3, 2002, at the infirmary of the Mother House, Sister Anesie Cote left us for the house of the Father at age 95 and after 68 years of religious life. She was predeceased by her father and mother, seven brothers and seven sisters. She was the 13th child of a family of 15. Left to treasure her memory, many nephews and nieces. Anesie was born in Ste-Anne-des-Chenes, MB, on June 22, 1906 and joined the Missionary Oblate Order in August 1930. After taking her vows she was assigned to a number of the Orders houses where she was a housekeeper. She also spent many years at the Mother House making hosts, the sale of which constituted part of our source of income. Whatever she undertook to do was well done. Her work companions enjoyed being with her because of her kindness and discretion. During her years at the infirmary she impressed the staff by her almost constant smile and her sparkling eyes. The staff said that she was charming. "Anesie you have touched our hearts!" Prayers will be said on Monday, January 7 at 2:00 p.m. and the Resurrection Mass will be celebrated on the same day at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Mother House, 601 Aulneau.
