VIOLET ORCHARD (nee MOLINE) With great sadness our family announces the peaceful passing of our mother, grand-mother and great-grandmother, Violet Orchard, at the Oakview Nursing Home on January 4, 2002. She was predeceased by her husband Maxwell in 1997. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Maxine Medlicott and Gail LaFleche (Rick) and her son Vincent Orchard (Rita) her nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces, and many friends. Violet was admired by all for her endless accomplishments, boundless energy, and giving nature. She was the glue that held the family together. All were welcome at her home to enjoy a home-cooked meal and "spirited" conversation. Her July 1st family barbecues were always greatly anticipated. Special thanks to Albert Olejnek for his friendship and caregiving to both Max and Vi in their final years. Also special thanks to the staff at Oakview Nursing Home for their love and care. Flowers gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donation in Violets memory may be made to Oakview Nursing Home, 2395 Ness Ave., Winnipeg, MB, or a charity of their choice. Funeral service was held on Monday, January 7 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. followed by a gathering of family and friends. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
