HENRY ERNEST (HARRY) BAKER June 17, 1914 - January 4, 2002 Peacefully, on January 4, 2002, Harry, aged 87 years, passed away at Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg. Harry was predeceased by his wife Gladys, his daughter Patricia, brothers, Arthur and Len and sister Florence. Left to mourn his passing are his loving family; son Milton (Janet) of Edmonton; grandchildren, Karen (Wayne) Elsner of Bon Accord, AB, Kevin (Sue) Smith of Legal, AB; great-grandchildren, Daniel, Dean, Tanya and Sarah. He is also survived by his nieces, Beverly (Norman) Bell of Selkirk, MB and Joan (Dick) Baker of Vista, MB; dear friends, Elsie and Jake. Harry lived his life to the fullest, ending his career of over 30 years with T. Eaton Co. before retiring. He served with the PPCLI during the Second World War and was a legion member for 57 years. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at the Middlechurch Home for their compassion and caring extended to Harry. According to Harrys wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 8 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment will be held at a later date in Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Harrys memory to the Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, 280 Balderstone Rd., West St. Paul, MB, R4A 4A6 or a charity of ones choice.
