Date of Passing: Jan 05, 2002
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM H. (BILL) WINSLADE It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bill on Saturday, January 5, 2002 at the Seven Oaks General Hospital. Remaining to forever cherish Bills memory are his son David (Janice) daughter Joanne Watchman (Les) grandchildren, Andrew and Caitlin; and by his dear companion Audrey. Dad was an avid golfer and curler who enjoyed spending time at the family cottage at Ingolf. He served with the Royal Canadian Navy during the Second World War and retired from CP Rail in 1983. He was Past President of the Victoria Curling Club, Past President of the Khartum Temple Patrol and Past Master of the Kildonan Masonic Lodge No. 131. Dad was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion No. 215. He was able to live an active life up until his stroke last November. In compliance with Bills wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. Just take a moment and reflect on the good time. A special thanks to the Unit 1, 5th Floor nursing staff at the Seven Oaks Hospital for their kindness and compassion. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial donations may be made in Bills memory to a charity of ones choice.
