PEDRO ELEFANTE Passed away at the Concordia General Hospital on Monday, January 7, 2002, at the age of 85 years. Pedro was predeceased by his loving wife Benita Ellazar in 1972. He is survived by his daughters, Amparo (Mario) Nesca, and their children, Marcello and Stella; Nelia (Eugenio) Tiengo; Lavone (Quang) Nguyen, Zeny (Alex) Boado, Liza (Peter) Nesca all of Winnipeg; brother Johnny (Dolores), sister Irene Lagran, sister-in-law Lily Alconcel all of Hawaii; two sisters, Lourdes Palacol and Santiaga (Augustine) Bugaoisan of the Philippines; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law as well as many nieces and nephews from Hawaii and the Philippines. The family would like to thank the staff of the Concordia General Hospital, 3rd Floor, for the care and compassion given to Pedro and all of our friends for their support. Lamay will be held from the Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint) on Thursday, January 10 from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. (midnight), with prayers at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held from Holy Rosary Parish, 510 River Ave., on Friday, January 11 at 10:00 a.m. Interment Garden of Christ the Redeemer, Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens.
