BENJAMIN (BEN) PETSNIK November 8, 1916 - January 8, 2002 On Tuesday, January 8, 2002 at the St. Boniface General Hospital, at the age of 85 years, Ben passed away with his family by his side. Dad will be lovingly remembered by his children, Judy (Mobberley), Barbara (Pettinger) and Jim (Debbie) as well as his two grandsons, Ryan and Corey; brother Armen (Joyce) and many special nieces and nephews. Ben was predeceased by Mabel in February 2000, his wife of 56 years; and his parents, Benjamin and Christine; brother Ervin; and sister Mildred. Ben spent most of his working life as a Winnipeg Transit Operator and retired in 1978 after 31 years of service. He enjoyed a long retirement and volunteered at the Earl Grey Community Centre, where he was recognized as a Volunteer of the Year in 1995. A private family gathering will be held with interment at a later date. Our family would like to express a special thanks to all the neighbourhood friends who continued to look in on Dad after Mother died.
