Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGORDON CLARENCE DAVIS September 4, 1927 - January 9, 2002 With his family by his side, we announce with great sorrow the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, PAPA, old PAPA!!, brother, uncle and friend. Gordon (Clarence) was predeceased by his son David; father Fred; mother Lillian; brothers, Alan, Emery, Joseph, Marvin, Harry; and sister Joyce. Gordon leaves to mourn his passing his cherished wife Pearl; sons, Del (Mary Anne), Harry (Marilyn) and Peter; grandchildren, Trevor, Jason, Jennifer (Jamie), David (Christine), Daniel, Crystal, Devin (Lori) and Shannon; great-grandchildren, Victoria and Brittney. He also leaves to mourn his passing his beloved sisters, June (Jack), Bernice (Bruce), Dorothy and Pearlie; sister-in-law Pat; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends; and special friends and golfing buddies, Courtney Christie and Donnie Pitman. Gordon grew up and attended school in West Kildonan. He worked for many years at the Winnipeg Free Press as a journeyman pressman from which he retired at the age of 65 in 1992. He loved his work and often said it was the best job, and that he had the greatest bunch of guys to work with. He had an avid interest in sports as a youth and an adult. His main and lasting interest was golf which he enjoyed by playing many courses throughout Canada and the United States. Gordon will be remembered for his great love for his wife Pearl and all his family and friends. We will all miss his keen sense of humour and his many pranks and antics. A celebration of Gordons life will be held at St. Johns Presbyterian Church, 251 Bannerman Ave. and Charles at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 12 with Rev. Ken Innes officiating. Cremation to follow with viewing one half hour before the service. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the staff at Concordia Hospital on 2 and 3 West. Thanks to all of the doctors and staff in the operating room and intensive care. Special thanks to Dr. Drexler.
