Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFREDERICK DAVID "DAVE" HAMILTON After a lengthy illness, Dave Hamilton passed away peacefully on January 14, 2002 with his family at his side, at Riverview Health Centre, at the age of 90 years. Dave is survived by his loving wife Agnes; son William and daughter Barbara Hamilton (Jim Smith) granddaughter Cathy and her mother Susan; niece Sally McCulloch (Dave) nephew Andy Wales and their children, all of Winnipeg. Also nephews, Douglas of ReDondo Beach, CA and Ken (Amy) of West Orange, NJ and their mother Eileen of Spokane, WA and other family members. Dave was the son of Fred and Maude Hamilton of Winnipeg and was predeceased by brother, Donald of Spokane, WA. Dave was born in Winnipeg in 1911, where he lived all his life, except for wartime service. Dave retired from Shell Canada in 1976 after 45 years service including his years at North Star Oil. He was a member of Westminster United Church since 1927. He was a past President of St. Boniface Kiwanis (1957) and a member of United Commercial Travellers since 1950. Before his poor health, Dave enjoyed travelling, reading, golf and curling following his retirement in 1976. He particularly enjoyed his special relationship with Cathy and watching her grow up. Service of remembrance will be held on Thursday, January 17 at 1:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1858 Portage Ave., with Reverends Robert Campbell and Rose Ferries officiating. The family expresses its deep gratitude to Daves home care nurse Mariette and the staff on 3 East at Riverview, particularly Dorothy, Chase and Barbara for their thoughtful and special care. Also, thanks to Drs. S. Silagy and Kirk.
