FRANKLIN FELIX JENNINGS It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Franklin Felix Jennings on Monday, January 14, 2002. Frank was pre-deceased in January 2000 by his beloved wife Alberta, with whom he shared 42 wonderful years. Dad will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his children, Beverley (Bill) Duthoit, Norman (Leah) and his cherished grandchildren, Lindsay and Jessica Duthoit. He will also be deeply missed by his sister Dorothy Porteous; his brother Dick Jennings (Phyllis) of Ottawa; and his brothers-in-law, Gordon Stewart (Peggy) and Doug Stewart (Bessie). Dad will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Frank was born May 13, 1920 in Winnipeg. He served with the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War at a pilot training facility in Paulson, MB, and spent most of his working career at Wood Gundy Limited, establishing many long-term friendships. Dads favourite times were at our cottage at Jessica Lake entertaining family and friends. The lake is where dad spent many happy hours chopping wood, swimming, playing cards, cruising the lake and blazing trails on his Honda P50 motorbike. Dad always had a building project on the go and was happy to lend a helping hand to friends and family. His talents were endless. All those who knew him appreciated his wonderful sense of humour, entertaining stories and unique way with words. Special thanks to nieces, Gayle, Maggie and Patty who lovingly spoiled him with meals, treats and regular visits, in hospital and out. Dad loved you and appreciated your efforts. Thank You. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 17, at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 0S6, or a charity of your choice. Rest in Peace, Dad!
