MIDGE COLE (EDNA MILDRED) (nee MARSHALL) Born December 26, 1913 in Winnipeg, MB, passed away December 30, 2001 in Parksville, BC. She loved golf and was the perennial ladies champion at St. Boniface Golf Club in Winnipeg in the 50s and 60s. She played a mean game of cards, but above all she will be remembered for her love of life and her sense of humour. She was a cherished wife, wonderful mother, beloved mother-in-law, "Pretty Nana", "Aunty Midi", treasured friend, and we will miss her. Midge was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Reg Cole, with whom she made her home on the Seine River in St. Vital. They retired to Brentwood Bay on Vancouver Island in 1974, where they lived for 18 years before moving to Parksville. She is survived by son Bill (Lesley) and daughter Barb Schneider (Al) grandchildren, David (Judith), Brian and Katherine Cole, Tim and Tom (Michelle) Schneider, as well as many nieces and nephews. Midge always had a joke to tell - loved a glass of beer, and wherever she is, we know there is a cold beer waiting for her! In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer Society in Midges name.
