Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM ALEXANDER BRODDY It is with sadness we announce the passing of William Alexander Broddy (Bill) on Friday, January 11, 2002 at the home of his daughter in Victoria, B.C. His two daughters Caryl and Jennifer, and grandson Michael were at his side. He is lovingly remembered by Elna, his wife of 59 years. He was the loving father of David Eric (Rick) and his wife Claudette; daughter Caryl (Doug) Jennifer (Tony) five grandchildren, Nancy, Jesse and Michael, Matthew and Meaghan; also remembering him will be his five great-grandchildren. Bill was born in Port Rowan, ON to Dr. and Mrs. William A. Broddy, who predeceased him. He spent five years in the RCAF during the Second World War, and after discharge in 1945 he studied accountancy, and then worked for Canada Packers for 38 years. He enjoyed retirement as he could do his woodworking and also do some traveling with his wife. Although he often visited Norway, England and France, he enjoyed his trips to the Maritimes best, especially Cape Breton, Prince Edward Island, and Lunenberg. At his request cremation has taken place and there will be no service.
