LOUIS PHILIPPE ROY Louis Roy, epoux bien-aime de Noelle (nee Marcoux), est decede paisiblement a lHopital general de Saint-Boniface le dimanche 20 janvier 2002 a lage de 87 ans. Outre son epouse de 62 ans, il laisse dans le deuil son fils Guy (Helene) et trois petits-enfants, Gilles, Manon et Daniel (Stacey) ainsi quun frere, Monseigneur Raymond Roy de Saint-Paul, AB; et deux soeurs, Marie-Therese Rioux et Gertrude Lavallee. Avant sa retraite, Louis a travaille pendant 33 ans aux chemins de for nationaux. Louis etait un homme de famille, de foi, de nature et daction. Homme tranquille et simple, il a travaille toute sa vie a ameliorer le sort des autres. Guide par sa foi; il a ete un exemple dintegrite, de generosite et dhumilite. Les funerailles seront celebrees le mercredi 23 janvier a 14h00, precedees par la veille du corps a 13h30, en la Cathedrale de Saint-Boniface et seront presidees par Monseigneur Albert Frechette. La famille desire remercier le personnel medical et pastoral de lHopital general de Saint-Boniface pour toutes les attentions rendues a Louis avec tellement de compassion. Au lieu de fleurs, les gens peuvent faire un don a une oeuvre charitable de leur choix. La direction des funerailles a ete confiee a Green Acres Funeral Chapel, 222-3241. LOUIS PHILIPPE ROY Mr. Louis Roy, beloved husband of Noelle, passed away peacefully at the St. Boniface Hospital on Sunday, January 20, 2002 at the age of 87 years. Besides his loving wife of 62 years, Noelle, Louis will be lovingly remembered by son Guy (Helene) three grandchildren, Gilles, Manon and Daniel (Stacey) as well as his brother Mgr. Raymond Roy of St. Paul, AB; sisters, Marie-Therese Rioux and Gertrude Lavallee. Prior to his retirement, Louis was employed with the CNR for 33 years. Louis was a man of family, faith and action who loved nature. A very quiet and simple man, he worked all of his life to improve the lot of others. Guided by his faith, he was an example of integrity, generosity and self-effacement. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 23 at 2:00 p.m. with viewing one-half hour prior to service in St. Boniface Cathedral, 190 Cathedrale Ave., with Msgr. Albert Frechette, P.H. presiding. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in memory of Louis to the charity of your choice. GREEN ACRES FUNERAL CHAPEL 222-3241
