Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALBERT WILFRED SLADE 1909-2002 It is with great sadness and thanksgiving that the family of Wilf Slade announces his passing on Tuesday, January 22, 2002. Wilf was born in Nottingham, England to Albert Gurney Slade and Sarah Anne Daft. He moved to Toronto as a young child and to Hudson, ON as a young man. There he met and married his wife of 60 years, Anne. After living in Toronto for a few years they moved to Winnipeg in 1948. Wilf will be remembered as a hard working, dedicated individual who was always gentle, patient, compassionate and encouraging. He was predeceased by his brother George, sister Grace, parents, an infant son and his beloved Anne. He is survived and lovingly remembered by Sally and Barrie Cranston, Jeanifer Cranston, Cathryn, Judd and Ethan Ekdahl and cousin Gladys Moody. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson Foundation of Canada, 204-825 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, R3A 1M5. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 25 at 1:30 p.m. in St. Peters Anglican Church, 755 Elm St., with the Venerable P.C. Barnett officiating. Following cremation, he will be interred beside Anne in the columbarium in St. Johns Cathedral. "Lifes race well run, lifes work well done, lifes victory won, now cometh Rest."
