Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDORIS MOUSSEAU (JAMES) also known as (IKEWISH) Suddenly on January 24, 2002 at the Vancouver General Hospital in Vancouver, BC, at the age of 60 years. It is with great sadness that we the family announce the passing of our dear Mother, Wife, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt. Doris was born in Eriksdale, MB on August 29, 1941. Doris was raised in Lake Manitoba First Nation during her early years. Doris eventually decided to move her family to Winnipeg. After a brief stay in Winnipeg she then decided to relocate her family to Vancouver, BC where she spent her last remaining years. While in Vancouver Doris made countless number of friends who will miss her so much. Doris always made sure her children were her first priority. Doriss favourite pastimes were going to Bingo, playing cards, doing crossword puzzles, listening to country music especially all her favourite tunes. Wherever Doris went, she touched the hearts of those whom she cherished throughout her lifetime. Doris leaves to mourn her loving husband Ken; her dear Mother Nellie; step-father Arthur Pelletier. She also leaves to mourn her daughters, Darlene, Sherry (Robin), Glennis (Arden) her sons, Dennis Kelvin (Irene) Delbert, Glenn (Viola), Garnet (Wanda) Vernon. Also Doris leaves to mourn her sisters, Donna (Lawrence), Millie (Jordie) her brothers, Harvey (Bev), Norman (Stella) Russell and friend Leo, Richard (Shiela). Doris also leaves to mourn her grandchildren and two great-grandchildren including her many nephews and nieces and other relatives to numerous to mention. In her passing Doris leaves her brothers-in-law, Jordie Missiabit and Lawrence Mousseau whom she loved so dearly. Sister-in-law Lizzie Paul. Doris was predeceased by her great-grandson Brenden Essiambre, granddaughter Kathlyn Ross; brother Eddy; her brother-in-law Alfie Roulette; her husband John Mousseau; sister-in-law Freda Mousseau and Martha Houle; Rose Mousseau; her uncles, Norman, Harvey; her aunt Sophie. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 1 at the St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church at Lake Manitoba First Nation. Wake service will begin at Millies and Jordies Missiabit residence at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 30. Interment to follow at Lake Manitoba Reserve Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be her four grandchildren, Doris, Jennifer, Rachelle, Andrew, her niece Jane and nephew Jordan. Active pallbearers will be her nephews Nelson Mousseau, Charlie Paul, Rodney Lavallee, Shaun Hunter, Lloyd Maytwayashing, Earl Maytwayashing. Arrangements by: ARNASON FUNERAL HOME LTD. 204-768-2072
