HELEN CAPAR April 4, 1926 - January 25, 2002 Peacefully, at the River East Nursing Home, Helen Capar passed away after a lengthy illness. She was born in Meleb, MB, the ninth of ten children born to Anne and Paul Kolody. She is survived by her sisters, Kay (John) Semkiw, Jean Ciastko, Tillie Rogowski, Rosie (Tony) Semkiw and Olga Iwaniuk; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her first husband Joseph Wiwsianski in 1950; second husband Nick Capar in 1990; her mother in 1933; father in 1977; brother John in 1950; sisters, Stella, Lena and Mary. There will be a viewing on Tuesday, January 29 at 9:30 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, at 1442 Main St. A funeral service will follow the viewing at 10:00 a.m. also at the Chapel with Father Peter Chorney officiating. Interment will follow in the Meleb Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Meleb Cemetery.
