Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Was thinking about you today, almost 20 years after your death, and how you taught me many things about the life and afterlife of Indian Residential School attendees. I saw and lived through the hurt and anger those experiences left you with. I have spoken many times of the stories you shared later in your life, after some healing, and how much I didn't know about you because of the silence that held back your heart. I can cry for you now, it was difficult then, because of my hurt and anger, long healed and put away. I sincerely hope you found a better place in spirit, and lots and lots of love. I can see that little boy, the angry young man, and the older kinder man who tried to make it better for so many, including me. I am older now than you were when you died, oh the conversations we would have today! Rest in peace dad, and if you choose to come back, please choose a kinder, softer place to land! - Posted by: Cynthia Wesley-Esquimaux (daughter) on: Nov 24, 2020

  • Forever missed my great uncle missed the laughter you always brought... Love you. - Posted by: Helen Wesley (Great niece) on: Oct 06, 2012
