Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNICHOLAS PARTYKA JR. Nicholas William Partyka, 38, died Sunday, January 20, 2002 in Edmonton, AB. Nicky was born in Winnipeg to parents, Nicholas and Jeannette Partyka on January 13, 1964. He attended St. Boniface Diocesan High School and following his graduation, attended the University of Manitoba where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. Nicky applied his love of mathematics in his tutorial classes at the Universities of Manitoba, Winnipeg and Edmonton. He was an avid hockey fan and a master chess player. Nicky was predeceased by his father; his grandparents, John and Mary Partyka and Albert and Denise Allard, and his nephew Cameron Badurek. He is survived by his mother; his brother John Partyka and his wife Sandy of Athabasca, AB and sisters, Lillian "Kim" Thompson of Lengby, Minn, U.S., Rosaline "Rosie" Atwater and her husband Tom of Melborne, FL, Theresa Dunlevy of Vancouver, BC and her husband Daniel. Nicky is also survived by his nephews, Sean and Dustin Atwater, Ryan, Devin and Nicholas Dunlevy, Bron and Aron Badurek; his nieces, Cheryl and Laura Partyka, Tana Atwater, Monessa Hegg, Ivy Fay and Chelsea (Badurek) Thompson and by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 30 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St. Interment of the cremated remains will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 31 at Green Acres Memorial Gardens.
