Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryINDOMITABLE KATHARYN CYRENITY HOPE (Kathy-Jo Foster) After a lengthy, courageous battle with cancer, Katharyn, aged 30, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 28, 2002 at St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care. She is survived by her parents, Ruth and Ed Brazeaux; her parents, Laurie and Gail Foster; her sisters, Trish, Tracey, Renee; her brothers, Barry and Kevin and their families. She is also survived by her trusted canine companion Belinda. Everyone who knew Katharyn recognized her invincible spirit, courage, and faith. She was passionate, dedicated, generous, and fiercely independent. Katharyn lost her sight at age 5, but tenaciously overcame her blindness to become one of the first totally blind students in the Manitoba public school system. She treated her blindness not as a handicap, but as an inconvenience. In her late teens, she moved to Toronto, and most recently resided in California. Wherever she went Katharyn extended her family by embracing many friends with her unending supply of love. She was very successful in her marketing career and was involved extensively in volunteer work. She was an accomplished medical intuitive and healer, a Reiki master and an expert in reflexology, shiatsu, and acupressure. Katharyns family would like to thank the many doctors, nurses, and supplementary medical staff who cared so well for Katharyn throughout her life. Special thanks goes to the St. Boniface Palliative Care Ward. We share Katharyns pride in her well-lived and well-loved life. A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 1 at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave., Aubrey Street entrance. Katharyn, through her many talents brought music and literacy to the hearts of many. The family requests no flowers please. Donations to the CNIBs "That All May Read" campaign would be welcomed. Near or far we loved her always and forever will.
