NORMAN ALEXANDER STEWART Peacefully on Tuesday, January 29, 2002 at his home, Norman Alexander Stewart, passed away at the age of 82 years. Norm was born in Winnipeg and moved to the farm at Steep Rock with his parents at the age of one year. He joined the army in 1940, and served overseas in various countries for five years. Norm then returned to the farm where he stayed until his death. He loved to read and fish, but his greatest love was his farm animals. Norm is lovingly remembered by his extended family Rose and Al Gardner who cared for him for several years until his death. He was predeceased by his father Thomas in 1923; and by his mother Elsie in 1971. Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 2 at 2:00 p.m. in the Faulkner Community Hall with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. Interment to take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lakeshore Hospital Guild, c/o Runa Mangl, "For Use in the Palliative Care Unit", Ashern, MB, R0C 0E0.
