STEPHANIE PETERS
Date of Passing: Jan 12, 2002
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTEPHANIE PETERS Stephanie Peters, a longtime resident of Winnipeg, MB, Canada, died on January 12, 2002, in Santa Cruz, CA where she had moved in June of last year to live with her son and his family. Born in Winnipeg in 1916, she was married to William "Dusty" Peters who died before her. Stephanie worked for the Canadian National Railway as an office manager until her retirement. She took great pride in her work, and always undertook it with consummate professionalism, a quality which earned her the respect of her many colleagues throughout her long career. She continued to work after her retirement including acting on film in many commercial and public service announcements. Those that knew and loved her will always remember her youthful spirit, which remained to bless us up until the brief illness which took her from us. As a young girl, she was a gifted dancer performing and touring with a Ukrainian dance troupe. She carried the memory of the joy of dance throughout her long life. She danced through our lives with simple grace, and we will miss her, and her irrepressible sense of humour, which warmed us all. She leaves behind a son, Bill Peters, a daughter-in-law, Sarah Albertson and a grandson, Jesse Peters, all of Santa Cruz. A private committal will be under the directions of Santa Cruz Cremation Service in California.
