Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES (JIM) MICHAEL KUSHNOWSKI After a brief illness on Saturday, February 2, 2002 at Seven Oaks Hospital, Jim Kushnowski passed away at the age of 55. Jim was predeceased by his parents Michael and Ruby; two daughters, Christine and Michelle. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Janine; sisters-in-law, Claudette and Maurice Peloquin, Denise and Ernie Welsh; brothers-in-law, Claude Malo, Yves and Lucille Malo; many, nieces, nephews and friends. Jim was born in Winnipeg on October 25, 1946. He worked at Pepsi Cola and then went on to work at Wilson Auto where he was employed for 35 years. Jim became a member of the Stoney Mountain Masonic Lodge in 1987. He became a member of the Khartum Motor Patrol in 1990 and served as Vice President and President. He was known by all members of the Motor Patrol as Jimmy K and the Smart one of the Three Amigos. Jim was also an avid fisherman and belonged to many fishing clubs, such as the Magic Minnow and Long Horn Club. He had many other interests such as traveling and entertaining. Jim had a very positive impact on many peoples lives and he will be sadly missed. A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, February 6 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Service will conclude in the Chapel with cremation to follow. It was always Jims wish that he have a Riding Motor Patrol Escort leading his procession, and this will take place in the spring time when he will be laid to rest with his daughters at St. Boniface Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jims memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 9Z9.
