JENNY NEP Peacefully on Friday, February 8, 2002, Jenny Nep passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital. Jenny is survived by her son Jerry, daughter-in-law Doreen and Jerrys son Mitchell; daughter Evelyn Numerow, son-in-law Sam Brownstone and Evs children, Leonard, David (Susan) and Michael; and daughter Gail, son-in-law Blair Dawe and Gails son Dustin Shore. Moms greatest joy was her great-grandchildren, Kevin, Allison, Logan and Benjamin Numerow. Jenny was born in Pinsk, Poland, the youngest of the four surviving children born to Bessie and Moses Gleberzon. The family left Europe in 1929 travelling on board The Estonia to Canada, settling in Hoffer, SK. As a young teenager, Jenny moved to Winnipeg where she met and married Louis Nep. Jenny and Lou had three children before his death in 1954. Mom never stopped loving and missing him. After Dads death, Mom worked in the retail fashion field for close to 30 years. She was a loyal and hard working employee, completing her career as a bridal consultant for Rickis where she truly enjoyed working for Joseph Sector and his family. In her retirement, Mom travelled for many years with the Stay Young Club. She enjoyed winters in Florida and Palm Springs. Mom had recently moved into The Portsmouth retirement residence where she made and enjoyed many friendships. The family would like to thank the staff and Moms friends for their many visits and phone calls. To the end, her biggest wish was to return to all of you. The family is also grateful to Dr. Montgomery and the outstanding staff of the St. Boniface Geriatric Ward for their compassion and care. Graveside services will be held on Monday, February 11 at 3:00 p.m. at the Shaarey Zedek Cemetery with Rabbi Balser of the Rosh Pina Synagogue officiating. Private Shiva. Because Mom was a cancer survivor, the family requests donations in her memory be made to CancerCare Manitoba. REST PEACEFULLY, MOM.
