Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDELMAR MATTHEW KIRKLAND Passed away on February 11, 2002 at Neepawa Hospital. Born on December 6, 1910 in Tupper, MB. He moved to Pine Creek with his family in 1929 and then to Plumas in 1936. Dad was a farmer the majority of his life retiring in 1988 at the age of 78. He was a quiet man with a good sense of humour. He enjoyed having his family around just sitting and visiting. One of his favourite pastimes was playing the fiddle, playing for many dances in his younger years. After retiring he spent many hours watching hockey, wrestling, and baseball and feeding the birds. Survived by his wife of 49 years, Ruth; children, Liz (Glenn) Cymbalisty, Tom (Lola), Laurie (Heather), Cindy (Ken) Lubinski; grandchildren, Melissa, Ashley, Sherilyn, Jamie, and Jason. He was predeceased by his brothers, Orville, Grenville, Lloyd, Elvin, Ayrest; sister Lorna; sister-in-law Frances; brother-in-law Harry. Survived by sister-in-law Goldie and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 15 at 2:00 p.m. in the Plumas United Church with Rev. Debra Orton officiating. Interment will follow at the Plumas Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation, 200-55 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 1L8. God saw you getting tired, a cure was not to be, He held out His hand and said, Come with me. Rest in peace dear Dad We love you, well miss you.
