JOHNNY PENNER November 13, 1937 - February 13, 2002 After a brief illness at the Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital, Johnny Penner went peacefully to live with the Lord. Johnny was born in the Teulon area where he resided all of his life. From the time he was a young man he always had a hand in farming and gardening. Johnny farmed with his two brothers, Herbie and Hank, all of his life. Over the years, he spent endless hours in the garden and the last couple with his son Henry where he was in his glory. He also enjoyed looking at the crops with his friends. Johnny had two lovely children, Jackie and Henry. Jackie and Dean also have two beautiful daughters, Laurel, aged 4 and Holly, aged 8. They will miss their "Papa" very much. Johnny is survived by brothers, George (Mary) of Teulon, and Erwin (Anna) Penner of Winnipeg; sisters, Katie Penner of Teulon, and Ellie (Richard) of Kitchener; sisters-in-law, Mary Penner, Jane Penner, and Lois Penner; and brother-in-law Ray Isbister. John was predeceased by his wife Marlene, parents, Heinrich and Katharina; brothers, Herb, Hank, and Nick; and sister Irma Isbister. It is with our deepest sadness that we say good bye on earth but rest assured we will all be together again one fine day. Friends may call on Friday, February 15 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon. A funeral service will be held at the Teulon Rockwood Centennial Hall at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 16. Pastor Michael Sullivant will officiate, with interment to follow at the Windsor Cemetery, Teulon. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave, Winnipeg, MB, R3A 1P6, or to CancerCare Manitoba, ON109-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9.
