Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY ZELLA McADAM (nee MESSETT) It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Zella McAdam on Thursday, February 14, 2002, at Golden West Centennial Lodge at the age of 91 years. Zella was predeceased by her husband Len; her parents, Clarence and Naomi Messett; and her two brothers, Clarence (Bud) and Jack Messett. Left to cherish her memory is her son Donald (Velma) grandson Timothy; sisters-in-law, Edna and Lillian Messett; and several nieces and nephews. Zella was born in Great Falls, Montana, on December 4, 1910. She was a devoted mother who especially cherished time with her family and her church. She enjoyed the water and several of her fondest memories were of picnics at Clearwater and Rocky Lake near The Pas and summers at Falcon Lake at the family cottage. Zella was a very gentle lady. She took special care of all the members of her family and a meal in her home was always warm, welcoming and flavourful. When God took her hand on Valentines Day, he claimed the heart of a loving mother and a kind friend. She will be sadly missed by all who have been touched by her caring ways. A Service of Remembrance was held on Friday, February 22 at 2:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1858 Portage Ave. Special thanks to the staff at Golden West Centennial Lodge for the countless hours you spent with Mom. Your personal services and caring ways were always above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you also to those special people from Regents Park United Church who were regular visitors with Mom while she resided at Golden West Centennial Lodge. If friends so desire, donations in Zellas memory may be made to Golden West Centennial Lodge, 811 School Rd., Winnipeg, MB, R2Y 0S8. LEATHERDALE GARDINER 1858 Portage Avenue 949-4872
